Altlußheim, 30 May 2025 – Metalux Metallveredelung GmbH was once again awarded certification in accordance with the international standard DIN EN ISO 50001:2018 in May 2025. GZQ GmbH has thus certified the company’s systematic and effective energy management at the Altlußheim site since the first certification in 2015.
The ISO 50001 standard defines requirements for an energy management system (EnMS) that supports organisations in continuously improving their energy-related performance, increasing energy efficiency and sustainably reducing energy consumption and costs. The current system boundaries at Metalux encompass all activities and energy use at the site – including the integration of relevant measuring points such as oil tanks, heat transfer points and energy supply company (ESCO) interfaces.
The new certification period begins on 30 May 2025 and is valid until 20 December 2027. ISO 50001 certification is an important building block in the company’s sustainable orientation, alongside other certifications and continuous investments in resource-saving technologies and processes.
‘For us, energy efficiency is not just an ecological responsibility, but an integral part of our process quality and competitiveness,’ emphasises the management. ‘The renewed certification confirms that we manage our energy flows transparently and are continuously working on improvements.’
With its commitment to energy management, Metalux is once again emphasising its claim to not only meet the highest standards in surface finishing, but also to act in an exemplary manner with regard to environmental awareness and energy efficiency.
